nJoy Science – Summer Creation Camp

When: August 11 & 12 from 10am to 1:30pm
Where: Clanton Hall
Cost: FREE!!!
Who: ANY student aged 13 and above

Seminar Description (from nJoy’s website http://njoyscience.net):
Are you ready for the “war of world-views” beyond your home?  Many young people lose their faith in the Bible after being exposed to the aggressive evolutionary viewpoint of most secular colleges and universities.  This camp will strengthen your faith in the Bible by teaching them the scientific case for creation.

Topics of study:

  • Why does Genesis matter?
  • Millions of years and the Bible
  • The Big Bang theory, and distant starlight
  • Darwin, Lucy, and our genes
  • Noah’s flood and the Ark
  • Dinosaurs and the ice age
  • The Grand Canyon
  • Rocks and fossils
  • Where did Cain get his wife?

You will come away encouraged with an inspiring taste of the science that our creator established in the universe.

God…who is He? – (click on title to comment)

God… Who is He and how does who He is relate to me?

This is a question everyone asks, whether you are an atheist, agnostic, Buddhist, Muslim or Christian.  Anyone with any religious or nonreligious backgrounds asks this question.  The answer to me is simple and yet complicated all at the same time.  God is the I am.  He is the maker of heaven and earth.  He is who He says He is.  It is up to you to get to know Him and gain a deep relationship with Him, one that is continually growing.

I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  They are three in one.  This is may be an irrational idea.  I have had many debates in my day, many times trying to help people rationalize Christ and Christianity.  I have come to realize you can only rationalize to a point.  At some point you have to come to a decision, a decision for a leap of faith.  I made a leap of faith and there is nothing in the world that could convince me to change.  I have heard my fare share of arguments, rational and irrational.  After making a decision for Christ I have come to know Him intimately.  As I spend time with Him in His Word and prayer I have come to know Him as I would a close friend.  He is my closest friend and a father more loving than any earthly father could ever love.   I encourage you to meet God if you haven’t already.  Know Him, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  Know Him, a loving Father and your closest friend.
